Police arrested a suspected drunk driver who allegedly hit five parked cars early Thursday.

Officers were sent to the area of 22nd and Dudley streets around 1:46 a.m. after witnesses saw a blue 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager hit five vehicles parked on the south side of Dudley between 22nd and 23rd streets, causing more than $11,000 damage, said Officer Katie Flood.

The last impact disabled the van, and witnesses said they saw a man flee the vehicle, Flood said.

At 2:54 a.m., police were called to McDonald’s at 865 N. 27th St. after a man stopped someone in the drive thru, Flood said. The man, Aaron Flowers, 24, a transient, asked the driver to call police because he had been in an accident.

Flowers had a blood alcohol content of 0.138, Flood said. He was arrested and jailed on suspicion of driving under the influence, driving under suspension, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, no insurance and no seat belt.
