The Lincoln Area Families of Multiples Club will continue collecting donations, diapers, supplies and gear for the identical triplets of Logan and Misty Roots.

The triplets were born June 20 at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. They are all doing very well, and are expected to come home sometime later this month.

Identical triplets are extremely rare, occurring in one out of every 50,000 to 200 million births. Misty, 21, and Logan, 28, were surprised by the pregnancy and even more surprised when they learned their family would double in size. Their daughter Fianna is 17 months old.

According to organizers, the couple is no longer in need of baby swings, and has received quite a few donations of clothing. Diapers, wipes, a double stroller and exersaucers are still needed.

Financial donations may be mailed to the Lincoln Area Families of Multiples Club and earmarked for Logan and Misty Roots triplets. Send donations to P.O. Box 5911, Lincoln, NE  68505.

" His family should be more than able to help. His father's paintings sell in the ten's of thousands. Please give to families which don't have any means. "

" Guess what Mike, Some people don't rely on thier parents. At 21 and 28 with one child already maybe they are trying to be adults. Everyone needs some help and it makes people feel good to help when they can. Why deprive us of that pleasure. Besides I could price paintings at tens of thousands also but if I don't sell very many then I am not doing so well. If you don't want to help the kids why don't you buy a painting so dad can pass on the generosity. "

" What does his father's job have to do with him being able to provide support for his family? It doesn't matter how you look at it, but providing for three infants at one time takes not only patience, but resources that most families, irregardless of whether one or both parents work, are prepared to provide, especially when the pregnancy of triplets came as a surprise! I would encourage the family to look into a diaper service. Not only better for the babies behinds, and the environment, but very easy to use. We used one for both of ours, and our neighbors did when they had their triplets. Yes, it can be done! The service delivers right to your door, picks up the dirties and is actually cheaper in the long run than disposable. I encourage everyone to check into a diaper service. "
