Police say party crashers late Tuesday pulled out a gun and pointed it in the host's direction after being asked to leave.

Officer Katie Flood said it happened about 11:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Dakota Street, not far from 14th Street and Van Dorn Street.

A 20-year-old woman was having a party when the three uninvited guests stopped. When one of the host's friends asked them to leave, one of the three pulled out a semi-automatic Glock pistol and waived it in the direction of the host and other party-goers.

As she called police, they went to a car, then came back with a baseball bat, one of the men acting as if he was going to hit someone with it. Then they left, in a white four-door Intrepid.

No shots were fired and no one was hit with the bat.

Flood said the man with the gun and baseball bat was described as black, 6-foot-3, 225 pound about 20 years old with partially braided hair and wearing an orange-striped shirt. Descriptions were not as specific on the other two men.
