" Come on, LSW holds it down and no one wants to comment. If you can comment on the LH game you can surly give the team and coach props for holding it down against Benson. This Blog is a 2 way street. Now lets hear it. "

" Is LSW seriously looking for a pat on the back for beating a team who is 2-12? This is high school soccer. I wouldn't start bragging about your players until they're up against a team with the same skill level, then maybe bragging rights can be awarded. LSW should be real proud of the way they portray their school..... "

" Are you serious.....you think Millard North gets props for beating Lincoln High 17-0. LSW has gotten dogged all season long. It needs to end now. Back off the Silverhawks!!!! Maybe the public should start dogging the Omaha schools for doing the same thing. "

Stop Hating wrote on April 30, 2008 4:29 pm:
" LSW is not looking for any bragging rights. Bottom line is the haters dog on LSW for beating a team at the beginning of the season (Which anyone would have done if they were playing first. Dont lie I don't care who you are.) LSW takes the hit for all the schools that follow. No one says anything about the teams that are winning 17 or 15 to nothing. Watching the Benson game the other night was the hardest thing my eyes had to do. Nonstarters played the first 20 minutes with 5 swingers from JV. Starters played for 10 minutes and the entire second half was scoreless with all the starters on the bench. Instead of going to goal, the ball was kicked out to give them a goal kick. Imagine sitting and playing thru that 40 minutes. They are not asking for a pat on the back they just want the haters to know they can do the right thing also. How about you drop it. I hate to break it to you but us players in Omaha think the hating on LSW is like a bunch of babies in a school yard. My guess is it is your parents. They are going on a month plus now, when are you going to get over it! From your Omaha Gals-Hang tough LSW see ya soon! "

" What is funny is that no one realizes how much an insult it actually is to stop playing the way the game is intended to played. What I mean is that if a team stops playing just because they are winning by a large margin, that is actually more insulting than getting beat by 20. Just play and stop crying. It is not the job of a coach to make sure the other team feels good about themselves. How are those other teams going to get better if we don't always compete. If they can't take getting beat by 20 or more than don't play. We need to stop trying to make everyone feel good. This is a huge problem not only with sports but with our society. Feelgooders need to complaining. It is survival of the most fit and if your not fit your going to get run over. Deal with it. "

LSW this is why.... wrote on May 1, 2008 10:34 am:
" "Bragging actually dilutes the positive feelings you receive from an accomplishment or something you are proud of. To make matters worse, the more you try to prove yourself, the more others will avoid you, talk behind your back about your insecure need to brag, and perhaps even resent you. If you are humble nothing will touch you, neither praise nor disgrace, because you know what you are."
There are many great high school athletes in Nebraska who deserve recognition, but most of them don't seek it, it comes to them. "
