Rains swept across Lincoln on Saturday, forcing delays in the state baseball tournament.

One game was completed as Grand Island, the No. 8 seed in Class A, defeated top seed Creighton Prep 8-2 at Sherman Field behind the pitching of Nebraska recruit Kash Kalkoski.

In Class B action at Den Hartog Field, Gretna held a 3-2 lead over Omaha Roncalli/Brownell-Talbot when play was suspended in the top of the fifth inning.

Play will resume in both tournaments on Monday.
