Dogs that attacked Holdrege woman to be euthanized
HOLDREGE — Two dogs that attacked a woman, tearing off part of her ear, will be euthanized, Phelps County authorities said.
Sheriff Tom Nutt said the Holdrege woman was walking past a residence Wednesday evening when the pair of mixed heelers attacked her. The dog owner’s wife was also hurt when she tried to restrain the dogs.
The owner, Ronald Buettner, was cited for maintaining a dangerous animal.
