Speaker looks at abuse of Palestinians
A Jewish American granddaughter of Holocaust survivors will speak in Lincoln next week about human rights abuses against Palestinians in the West Bank.
Anne Baltzer, 28, a graduate of Columbia University, documented the abuses she has witnessed in a book.
Baltzer is a three-time volunteer with the International Women’s Peace Service.
Her book is called “Witness in Palestine: A Jewish American Woman in the Occupied Territories.”
Baltzer will speak at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Student Union on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
On Thursday, she will speak at the Unitarian Church, 60th and A streets, at noon, and at the First Mennonite Church, 73rd and Holdrege streets, at 7 p.m.
