The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is investigating RV and camper break-ins at Lincoln businesses.

Sometime between Sunday and Tuesday, someone smashed windows and pried doors to break into five RVs at Hamilton Equipment Co., 8605 Cornhusker Highway, Sheriff Terry Wagner said.

The privately-owned RVs are stored in a fenced lot at the business, Wagner said. DVD players were stolen from a couple of the vehicles.

Ten campers were broken into at Apache Camper Center Inc., 1040 Saltillo Rd., between 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday morning, Wagner said.

There was about $2,050 damage to the doors, which were pried open, Wagner said.

A television and DVD player were stolen from one of the campers, for a loss of $1,450, Wagner said.

The incidents could be related, Wagner said.
