" It is amazing to read some comments that are posted on this site when it comes to immigration. As an immigrant who has lived many years in the United States, I find myself as a person that respect the laws of the United States and also a proud citizen of my country. What really gets to me is when i read comments from people saying that immigrants are getting medicaid or any other public benefits. People open your eyes, immigrants are not eligible for benefits and there fore they aint receiving. Are some driving nice cars? Maybe they are , but they are also working hard at jobs that no americans want , jobs that are needed to support the powerful american economy. Immigrants ( legal or illegal) are also paying taxes by getting a Tax ID number from the govt. The truth is , everyone has the right to speak up their mind, what bothers me is the fact that most americans dont follow their politics, dont read the nwespaper ( unless its sports), but then when a big topic gets hot , like the war in iraq or immigrantion , then they find in the position to judge the entire situation based on a few things that they read here and there. The truth is, there is trash in every culture and there are treasures in every culture. I agree that some immigrants are contributing to drug trafficking , trahing towns and many other bad things, but those are some, not all and you can find americans doing the same to their own country. On the other hand, you also find immigrants that are here trying to work as hard as they can to give their family a better life with better opportunnities and they are respecting the laws of the United States. So, after all said, I would just like to support the amazing job of Senator Hagel. He is trying to finmd a compromise. And for those that can only point a finger , please try to keep up with the news and have some background about things before waisting your time writing certain things in this website. "
