Police investigate $6,000 bike's theft

Lincoln police are investigating the theft of a $6,000 bicycle.

The Titus Moto-Lite bike was stolen from a garage on the 3300 block of Aztec Court, said Capt. Jim Thoms. Someone got into the garage through a partially opened door between 10 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. Sunday.

The bike is made by a company based in Tempe, Ariz., and despite its name, is not motorized.

" It won't be easy to hide this bike. The thief won't be able to ride it without being noticed. Shouldn't be too hard to locate it unless it is taken out of town or the State. Bike thieves or pretty low on the scum layer... not as low as roofers but pretty close "
