QB Keller apologizes for incident
Nebraska quarterback Sam Keller issued a formal apology following practice Friday in the wake of an on-campus incident Thursday.
Campus police cited Keller for disturbing the peace after he allegedly yelled profanities and threw a plastic cup at a car driven by a woman who took a parking spot for which he was waiting.
“Yesterday, obviously, I made a bad decision,” Keller told reporters. “And I want to apologize first to the student that was involved and apologize to my teammates and everybody that’s involved in this program. You never want something like this to happen. I’m going to handle it. I’m going to take care of it, but I just wanted to apologize to everybody.”
