'Melissa' sued over sex act claim

Melissa Harrington, the Internet model from Lincoln twice ticketed for public nudity, is being sued along with a Tampa Bay, Fla.-based satellite radio shock jock known as Bubba the Love Sponge Clem.

Hope Miller, known as Brooke Skye on her Web site, which offers soft-core adult content, claimed in a lawsuit filed in a Tampa Bay court that the disc jockey, Harrington and others forced her into a sex act on Clem’s show.

Miller is seeking more than $15,000 on each of several claims against the defendants, which, in addition to Harrington and Clem, include several of the show’s employees, the Bubba Radio Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc.

According to the lawsuit filed last week, the incident occurred during the June 12 show.

Miller claimed Harrington used an oversized sex toy on her against Miller’s will while Clem and others held her legs.

At one point during the incident, Harrington said, “I am afraid I am going to hurt her,” the lawsuit says.

Miller claimed she suffered emotional and physical injuries from the incident.

She said Clem threatened to remove her from the studio and to discourage listeners from going to her Web site if she did not cooperate.

Miller had appeared on the show twice before. She said Harrington, whom Clem flew to Florida for the show, and the other defendants had prearranged the sex act without her knowledge.

Harrington, also known as “Melissa Midwest,” could not be reached for comment.

In August, a Lancaster County judge sentenced Harrington to six months probation after she emceed a wet T-shirt contest at a Lincoln bar while topless.

She was fined $150 in 2004 after she removed her clothes at a Lincoln bar and posted pictures of the display on her Web site.
