Submit a Celebrate announcement of your hunting trophy for our special section in the January 10, 2010 edition of Celebrate.
  • Photo must be tasteful: No open body cavities, no tongues, and minimal blood.
  • Best photos incorporate natural setting as backdrop. Avoid hanging carcasses or shots from a garage, barn or pickup bed.
  • Photos must reflect high ethical standards and safe firearm/bow handling. No alcohol containers, tobacco products or poses that disrespect wildlife.
  • Photos must be well lit, focused and composed.
  • The Journal Star reserves the right to decline publication of a submission.

Celebrate Nebraska Holiday Photo Contest:
Do you have a favorite photo on Santa’s lap or know someone who looks like Santa? Submit your photo for the Celebrate Nebraska Holiday Photo Contest and be entered to win a $100 gift card to Four Star Card & Gift Gallery.

Announcements will be published in the December 20 edition of Celebrate Nebraska. Announcements must be received by December 8, 2009. Winner will be contacted by phone on December 21.

*No purchase necessary. Winners will be chosen in a random drawing and will be notified on December 21st, 2009. Entry forms are available for pick up in person at the Lincoln Journal Star Mondays 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. Contest not open to residents of Puerto Rico, New York, Florida or Rhode Island. Void where prohibited. Open only to US Residents who are 18 years or older. Decision of the Lincoln Journal Star is final in matters related to this contest.

General guidelines for publication in Celebrate Nebraska:
  • All material and payment must be submitted two weeks prior to the publication date.
  • Engagement announcements should be received at least one month prior to the wedding.
  • Wedding announcements will be published within the first year of marriage.
  • The Journal Star must keep photos through the publication date. Photos will be returned after publication if a self-addressed stamped envelope is included.
  • The Journal Star reserves the right to reject photos considered inappropriate and edit submitted information.
  • Wedding Package Special – All wedding announcements include an additional 120 words for your message free of charge. (Excludes Cover Packages)
