REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS
The Lower Platte South Natural
Resources District (NRD) invites
you to submit qualifications for
professional engineering services
related to the design of Salt Creek
Levee stabilization projects to address several locations of bank
erosion along the levee system.
The Salt Creek Levee Project is a
US Army Corps of Engineers
project that is owned, operated and
maintained by the NRD. Corps
review and approval of any final
plans will be required along with
updates to the levee system
Operation and Maintenance Manual.
The proposed work is located
along the levee system of Salt
Creek in Lincoln, between North
27th Street and Superior Street,
including the portion of levee and
channel along Deadmans Run. The
design will include the development
of construction projects to resolve
several issues that are in the
NRD1s System Wide Improvement
Framework (SWIF) for the levee
and that are identified in the most

recent Corps of Engineers inspection. The final proposed solution
may be split into several construction projects that make sense from
a construction standpoint and to
meet budgeting limitations of the
NRD.
The NRD will provide all interested firms a map showing the
locations and a brief description of
problems along the levee that need
to be addressed with a project.
Qualifications will be received by
the Lower Platte South NRD on or
before 12:OO noon, Friday, February 2, 2018 in the NRD Office
located at 3125 Portia Street,
Lincoln, NE 68521. Please provide
four (4) copies.
The NRD will review the Qualifications submitted and then select
several qualified consultants to
interview. At the completion of the
interviews negotiations for services
will begin with the selected consultant.
